Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? Here are the answers.

  • Nope. Phone photos work fine as long as they're clear and show the full room. For a floor plan, even a rough hand-drawn sketch with measurements is enough to work with. The more you can show me, the better, but you do not need anything fancy.

  • That is totally fine, just let me know that upfront. A big part of good design is knowing what to keep and how to rearrange what you already have. Shopping guides will always include options at within your budget and I will always tell you what to prioritize if you can only do a few things.

  • After you inquire and we confirm the right service for you, I will send you a questionnaire to fill out about your space, your style, and what you want to change. Along with that, I need clear photos of the room, your measurements, and the measurements of any furniture you plan to keep. Everything happens over email from start to finish. Once I have received everything I need, I get to work and send your design plan back within 10 business days. From there you can request your included revision round if needed.

  • Every service includes at least one revision round. That means after you review your plan, you can tell me what you want to adjust and I will update it. If you want to go back and forth more than that, more revision rounds can be added for an additional fee.

  • The Room Design Plan is the closest thing to that. It covers a full room, but the plan is specific enough that you can use just the parts you need and tackle the rest later. If you want every detail figured out, the One Room E-Design takes it further.

  • Yes. Shopping guides include specific product links, not just "look for something like this." I pull from a range of retailers at different price points so there are real options for real budgets.

  • Absolutely. Renters often have the most constraints, no painting, no permanent changes, and working within those limits is something I do regularly. Just mention it in your questionnaire.

  • Right now most of the retailer sourcing is US-based, so the shopping guides work best for US clients.

  • Send me a message and describe what is going on with your space. I would rather help you figure out the right fit than have you book something that is not quite what you needed.

  • Because design services involve a significant amount of custom work that starts right after you book, I do not offer refunds once work has begun. That said, if you reach out before I have started on your project, I am happy to issue a full refund or apply your payment toward a different service.

If you feel the final deliverables did not reflect what we discussed, the first step is always to use your included revision round. Most concerns are resolved there. If something still feels off after that, reach out and we can talk through it.

  • That is the last thing I want, and it is also why every service includes a revision round. Before we get to that point, I do an intake questionnaire specifically so I understand your style, your budget, and what you are trying to fix. The more detail you give me upfront, the better the outcome.

If after revisions you still feel the plan missed the mark, get in touch. I take that seriously and will work with you to make it right. Refunds are not issued for subjective preference differences, but I will not leave you with something that does not work for you without trying to fix it first.

  • If you cancel before I have started work on your project, you can receive a full refund. Once work has begun, no refunds are issued, but you can transfer your booking to a different service of equal value. If you need to pause or reschedule, just let me know as early as possible and we will figure it out.

  • A mood board is a visual collage that shows the overall look and feel of a design direction before any real decisions are made. It typically includes color swatches, furniture styles, fabric or texture samples, and inspiration images that reflect the mood of the space.

For services that include mood boards, I will put together two distinct directions for your room. You pick the one that feels most like you, and I build the full design plan from there. This means the final plan reflects a direction you have already signed off on, not a surprise you have to revise your way out of.

  • Payment is due in full before design work begins. All major credit cards accepted.

  • Everything happens through email. There are no calls or video meetings required. You send me what I need, I get to work, and I send your plan back. If you have questions at any point, email is the place to ask them.
